Bone Densitometry (DEXA)

Eagle Imaging’s team of radiologists provide complete reading and interpretations of Bone Densitometry (DEXA) scans.

DEXA stands for Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry. DEXA scans produce a narrow, yet intense, beam of radiation that allows for the precise measurement of bone density.  The test itself is painless and only requires the patient to lie down on the DEXA machine for a short time.  Following the test, the Eagle Imaging radiologist will study the results provided by the DEXA scanner and determine if osteroporosis is present.

A Bone Densitometry scan is the best way to detect osteoperosis in its early stages, allowing for more effective management and treatment.
